In September 2017 we went to Pamporovo and stayed for 3 nights at Malina Village (also called “Villi Malini” in Bulgarian). Let me tell you a bit about it…
As the name suggests, it’s like a small village with 30 chalets in total and free parking place.
The area is sorrounded by pine forest and located near the centre of Pamporovo, where you will find some restaurants and a local grocery store.
The village is very suitable for groups of friends or family who want to spend their vacation. It also provide a small playground for kids.
The houses are made of wood, which reminded me of those lovely houses we see on the movies. Each one has 2 floors. On the first floor you find the living room, bathroom and kitchen. Everything was very clean when we arrived.
The living room has a couch, TV, a side table and a table with 4 chairs.
The kitchen is small and has the basic tools to cook (dishes, cutlery, oven, sink, microwave, water boiler and a small refrigerator).
To go from the first to the second floor you need to go up very straight stairs (I was kind of afraid of falling every time I had to go down). I believe that’s not very good for those with knee problems or difficult to walk.
On the second floor you will find 2 bedrooms, one with two single beds and another with a double bed. I’m the kind of person that like to sleep in the dark. If you’re like me, you may find the double room a bit too light, even with the drapes shut.
The chalet also has a terrace with table and chairs. I would love to have had breakfast on our terrace. But our terrace didn’t have sun in the morning. So we sneaked to the chalet right beside ours, where our friends were sleeping.
There are special areas in the village where you can light up a fire. We enjoyed a lot spending the evenings making barbecue and drinking outside, while warming up ourselves.
We had a great time at Malina Village, and would definitely recommended it.
